Sources

A Source is the second component of your Collection. Each Source is a website you want to collect data from.

For each Source you add, you just need:

• Name: a label for the website.
• URL: the address of the site you want to collect from.

ApeScrape reads through the site for you, so you don’t need to list individual pages.

Scenario:

Looking for information about restaurants in Edinburgh from a tourist website.

Source:

• Name: Foodie Traveller URL: https://foodytraveller.com

Adding more than one Source

You can add as many Sources as you like to a Collection. ApeScrape will collect data from all of them and combine the results into one clean set of records.

Helpful Tip Start with the site’s home page address (for example https://foodytraveller.com) and ApeScrape will explore the rest of the site from there.
